Sustainable Coffee Challenge
Role: Content Strategy lead, UX lead
Conservation International created the Sustainable Coffee Challenge to help members of the coffee industry—from growers to retailers—to adopt sustainable and socially responsible business practices.
The website we created recruits new partners, celebrates their commitments and holds them to account.
The client wanted an engaging way to convey the Challenge’s four goals.
Our interactive compass quickly orients homepage visitors, revealing additional details on hover.
Visitors can browse Commitments by region, sector and more (top/right).
To encourage participation—and create accountability—we created Partner Pages (left/below) that list brands’ Commitments, with target dates and their progress toward completion (indicated by the level of coffee in a mug).
Another interactive element shows Partners by their role in the chain of production (right).
Additional Pages
The Home Page lays out the partnership requirements in four easy steps.
Our Resources hub is a repository for the latest research, Action Network meeting minutes and more.
Partners are encouraged to join a sector-specific Action Networks to share best practices.
Users can browse Commitments by target completion, partner name and more.
Animated graphics offer an at-a-glance view of the size and reach of the Challenge.
Say hello.
